My son does swimming lessons here and likes it. The staff are really helpful. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because I booked a family swim for myself, 9 year old and 3 year old but didn't realise you can only use the one pool in a session. You can't use the beginners pool and main pool together.The main pool was really cold so my little girl didn't like it at all.

A lovely gym and swimming pool. However around the pool area is very slippery and many children have fallen over due to this. To use the hairdryer in the changing rooms you need 20p, which is absolutely pointless. The lockers don't take new pound coins yet, I suggest trolley coins.

Awful swimming pool. The water is freezing:ice cold! There are two pools (an adult one and a childrens' one). They are both freezing. The life guards pay no attention to you whatsoever and i've even had a lifeguard laugh at me and i heard him say 'Ha, she can't even get into the pool' and that was only because it takes a while for me to adapt to the temperature in the water. They are all incredibly rude and its makes me feel really uncomfortable!!And you have to pay 20p to use the hairs dryers and they are all really weak,some don't even work! Honestly its ridiculous! Worst pool i've ever been to! And the gym is dark and foul. NEVER GO HERE,EVER!

It's an affordable gym with the basics done right. However, It doesn't compare well with other everyone active sites. The group class rooms are tiny, dark and bit depressing, particularly the group cycling studio. The gym itself is small but does the job and has a fair variety of cardio and resistance equipment with some free weights. Generally it's in need of some TLC.
